Welcome to the Karlsruhe German Shepherd Dogs website. Based in Co. Kildare, Ireland, Our focus is on showing, working & training our dogs to achieve success, with a future breeding programme to equal the best. Our priority being correct construction and sound temperament, using only top quality bloodlines. Excellence through quality.
Having grown up with dogs and horses all my life, I purchased my first German Shepherd Dog - ‘Axel’ when I was 18 years old, He was sired by Mutz De Los Porches - a Frei vom Holtkamper See son -> (Canto von der Wienerau). I concentrated mainly on competition obedience but also showed him. A few years later I purchased two Lando Van Noort females (Grimm vom Lehmbachtal / Lasso di val Sole / Quanto von der Wienerau) from the Wenden Kennel, and that’s where I got started...

I choose the prefix/affix ‘Karlsruhe’ as this was the place in Germany where SV dog no.1 - Horand von Grafrath was spotted and purchased by Captain Max von Stephanitz and subsequently won first place in 1899.
